Almustafa
Institute of Islamic Education in relation to Focolare.
It’s
almost five years since the students of Almustafa Institute of Islamic
Education are involved in Focolare gatherings. They have been joining the
activities as they used to practice even in the other activities of other
organizations. They are participating and cooperating in every occasions and
activities in order to maintain the activeness, development, leadership, and to
enhance the ability to see and think beyond their comfort zones.
Last
Sunday, November 13, 2016, Focolare Delegates had a grand gathering in Tagaytay
known as Open City. It was an open forum by which the people will established
the ideal unity among different people through sharing their inspiring
experiences in life. This is to remind everyone about the love to one another
and to encourage them to establish and
flourish the Love of God among them.
Since
the students could not afford the transportation going to Tagaytay as it is a
far place, Focolare set up a place to make it easy for the students to attend
the gathering and it was held in the main building of Focolare in Quezon City.
The gathering has successfully done and it was a fruitful day for the students
because they freely shared whatever they have learned in Islamic Sciences, they
freely gave their opinions based on Islamic views, they learned from various
topics they discussed and especially they enjoyed a lot because of the cheerful
and energetic people who overwhelmingly accepted them in the said gathering.
It
was a great opportunity that the students are being asked about their culture,
religion, practices and those which could easily neglected by other Muslims in
relation to other religion. As far as the Islam is concerned with
consciousness, critical and moral thinking of the students have been challenged
by the advisors and the learned people
of Focolare.
The
organizer, Mr. Robert and some facilitators of Focolare are aware of the
culture, obligations and practices of a Muslims, so they served us what is
halaal (lawful) and also they prepared the place for the prayers. Their
concerns to the Muslims were initiated and prepared by them before it was asked
to them.
